My brothers and sisters only witnessed the physical and emotional abuse. Around the age of 12, I started fighting back. I would hit him and try to push him off of me, but, ultimately, (I'm a small framed person) there was only so much I could do to protect myself so I eventually had to give in and he always got what he wanted. Still, afterwards, he would beat me for being "disobedient". That's what they saw and often they would ask what'd I do to deserve it and I would just lie and say I don't know.

Pretty sure that changed him. Everyone says after he lost my mom, he was a completely different man. He was always a heavy drinker, but it became even worse after that and that's what often triggered him. I see the good and everyone and despite the fact that he did what he did to me, I still saw a small glimmer of hope and good in him.

Earlier today I rode the train to class which was pretty crowded. I was sitting next to this white lady and I scratched my back because it was itching. I think my elbow touched her and she looked over at me and started checking if her backpack was open and then took it off and put it in her lap. I looked over at her and asked her if she was serious and she remained quiet. My stop was next so I got up, but I wanted to read her ass. I was so mad.
