Yeah, a fan is fan, no matter what, but at the same time, SOME fans do speak on certain topics that they have NO IDEA about, and end up coming off as a fool in some situations. I'm not shading anyone, not coming for anyone, but it's the truth. Some speak on it like what they're saying is fact, and do come off as pretentious. I see Flare's point with his/her statement, and I sort of agree with it.
There's nothing wrong with wanting success for your favorite artist. We all want her to have success. But there's nothing wrong with her doing these features, or dropping a track out of the blue. It's not for the success, it's to build hype, to stir something up. That's what Onika is doing; she isn't magic by any means, she can't make something go gold/platinum just by her alone.
Your not a straight up pop-fan for just wanting her to succeed; you become a straight-up pop fan when all you stan for is her success and let that interfere with her music.
Do you see my point?

I perfectly see your point but please try to see mine (this is getting silly as I've said this phrase numerous times today

Was I probably saying: "I want ONLY the success"? NO. Cause if I said that, then you would be right.
But since she is the one to write her OWN stuff, and she does that perfectly good, why can't she both build hype AND success? It's not that she lacks the love from other artists, many love her. Say whatever you want but just because she is doing this type of thing right now, not 100% of the urban crowd is able to be updated with it.
What I'm trying to say, is that, while what she's doing now is of course the "mixtape-Nika" most of us talk about, most of the urban crowd doesn't look at Nicki firstly when they're thirsty for some rap, due to her previous backlash and whatnot. She needs promo, and in my opinion that DOES NOT make you pop.. That's my point, that way she can build up the hype much more faster and when her album drops the urban crowd will be more ready for it.
