Britney's only support is pop radio. Katy has multi-genre support, just as AC, Rhythmic, etc. Reaching 100m AI just on POP support is huge.

Well, why is Katy selling more singles and albums if they make the same music? Katy is the IT girl right now, this is her peak, so everyone wants a piece of that. Britney is past her peak, and during her peak pop music started to gradually tend to R&B, so she was never really played on other formats.
