Steven Greenstreet explained this in the Reddit AMA he did on the show. He said her meetup with the Lips was during the time when they were still filming for the series, but they just didn't go to Nashville with her and took the time off for vacation themselves I guess.
There just was no one there with her at the time, neither Greenstreet nor Lagan. Unfortunate.
