HO,WGH has crossover written all over it (pop, rhythmic, urban, and urban ac). Not sure about Hot AC. They've never recently supported a rapper before (correct me if I'm wrong?), even though it's not a rap track. I read somewhere that Wayne's "How To Love" received minimal airplay there, though.

Part of Me just came at the perfect time. It was premiered at the Grammys and was followed by a 1-day radio deal. It just kinda paled in comparison to her previous six singles. It's no surprise that it tumbled after its first week.

No way hell surprass Jay Z sales (even w/o Sasmsung deal) he did 500k? Just don't see it. Look I can admit I'm not much of a Drake listener, or supporter but hes not that big enough name like Jay Z is. I can admit that hes a very big name but hes still well early in his career to even be close to reaching those kind of numbers. Ill give hm a couple more albums to even be considered those kind of numbers. Started at The Bottom was a good sized hit, but not like The Motto was.

The only rapper i can see at the moment being close to those numbers is Eminem, but even I think he'll do 620k-660k range. Still the next few months should be an exciting tme for album sales with Eminem, JT, Drake, Katy Perry, Gaga all releasing in the 4Q. I thnk they will all cross above 400k.

And Drake could do 700k+. His fanbase spreads across the DeVontes to the Jessicas, plus "HO, WGH" moving up pop at lightning speed. I know a part of Take Care's huge opening was during the November rush, but I see it for him.

Drake will easily do more than that. TC opened to 630k, was well beloved and had decent longevity. Since then he's had 2 successful singles that showcase a bit of growth while still having him operate in his wheelhouse. 750k is all but guaranteed imo. He's currently a much bigger rapper than Jay-Z who has accomplished a lot in the past but commands much less buzz in the present than Drake.

JAY Z is at a different point in his career than Drake & Drake's album has had better pre-release handling with singles & such. It's a more hyped project. TC opened with 631K in 2011 in mid-Nov, but TC was such a massively successful & acclaimed album I think he did nothing but gain fans. He certainly hasn't lost any.

SFtB was also a really big hit. Very good Drake hype-booster.

Yeah I know they are in dfferent point in their career, but thy still have the same type of market. I just seen Jay Z's hype alot more bigger as of now.
