My mom loves MJ. Dad mostly just likes Bruce Springsteen and 70s rock. I don't think anyone in my immediate or extended family or entire friends circle growing up liked Madonna.

Robyn, have you listened to Sunbather by Deafheaven? It's categorized as "death metal", but I don't think there's a genre to describe it. It's just like euphoria. A masterpiece. I guess it's kinda experimental metal. But it's also so dreamy. Maybe like Mbv shoe-gaze? Idk
