I think we should wait for the flopsslow ones non-alliance people tbh. But I don't want our alliance to get too big, we should maybe just close down ours or maybe get 1/2 more on board.

Last season it wasn't a death per day. Some days the group didn't decide on one person, so everyone lived. But sometimes they would agree all on one person (usually someone not active in the game and dragging it out) and that person would be killed.
The advantage of being without an alliance is that you can basically control the vote.
However, the big alliances are very likely to kill you off early so that you don't have that power.

This is true, but also a big alliance has to turn on each other eventually. If you play alone, you have nobody to answer to.
