Who got the biggest boosts from the VMAs.

You can't use what if's re: the VMAs because they DID happen. Gaga is ABOVE the two songs from the most-talked about moment from the show. She got the biggest bump out of everyone.

And there are plenty of eras where the second single is more successful than the first; or even the THIRD single being a smash.

i agree. Take Firework for example, it was more successful than CG and TD

and why do people always come up with used and tired excuses to discredit Katy and Gaga's achievement like.. get your fave to chart first
