Britney has to do some sort of promo. By the looks of it she isn't playing this era so get ready for the return of Godney.

I doubt she'll do the AMA's, though.
I believe I read it somewhere, but we'll see! Either way, as far as singles go, they aren't a threat.

The person who BritneysBabies gets their inside info from has confirmed her to present and perform. If the tweet tomorrow comes out that Britney's working with William Orbit, we'll see.
And One Direction's song is the lead single for their album, as well as for their movie.

Rihanna's best numbers, even in a fourth quarter, are less than 240k. Even Femme Fatale sold 276k in the first quarter.

I'm excited for the AMA's now. She best deliver. I mean, I'm positive she'll be performing at GMA as usual so that'll give us a look at her performing skills.

"Best Song Ever" is from 'Where We Are', it primarily serves as the single to promote their movie out this Friday. They'll have an official lead single next month and their album out in November, probably up against GaGa.
Britney will be ****ed for a 7th #1 album, though. Eminem will likely debut 700k-1 million, block GaGa and then probably block Britney with Black Friday boosts if she releases Nov. 18th. "Bizerk" sounds like it's going to slay and just the fact he's continuing the LP series will have people out picking the album up.

It's not MTV's fault in any way shape or form for that tribute last year, lol.
I'm sure they would've been ecstatic if Britney wanted to do something similar to what Justin did. She obviously didn't want to (because it would've sucked).

If she performs at the AMAs I'll be slayed. She can put on a show like no one else when she bothers.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying Rihanna is a massive threat but she still shouldn't be underestimated.

We also have Katy releasing a promo single on Sept. 17th. I know it's just a promo single and I don't think she will be much of a threat, but still never underestimate her like many did with Roar. The media might label it as the 2nd single and put Katy vs Britney like Katy vs Gaga before. Just putting that out there.

October 15-29th for the album is seeming more and more likely, to be honest. You have to be crazy to think this is coming out on any of the big competitive weeks, or even later, and then Vegas is still supposed to kick off on New Years? I know the bitch doesn't do promo anymore, but we'd literally get nothing if that happens.
My guess is September 17th, 9:30am the single premieres (press release sometime prior of course) + Vegas announcement. The video probably a week or two later, very "Womanizer" set up-like. She'll do a bunch of promo interviews simultaneously promoting the album and Vegas through October leading up to the album release. Typical couple of performances on GMA or whatever, then November/December is the big Vegas move and final preparations.
Highly doubt she'll be doing the AMAs either.

Take it with a grain of salt. Granted this insider has been correct about everything so far (including the countdown) and may be correct if Britney Tweets she's with William Orbit tomorrow, but NEVER take anything for face value. I've learned that the hard way.

Eminem's going to debut HUGE, but his next weeks can usually only pull 300k. If we get minorly good promo, we should be able to easily top that.
One Direction's first weeks are scary, too. Hopefully the release in October.

Of course nobody should be underestimated, though I don't think Rihanna is someone we have to worry about too much in the first week.
And take the AMAs thing with a grain of salt.

I've learned to not get too excited when it comes to promoting, etc. FF made me that way.

We shouldn't have to worry too much with "Roar" cannibalizing sales. Britney's lead single will have radio support, too, so even if Katy's song does manage to take the #1 spot on iTunes, we should be able to accumulate way more BB points that week.

What we've heard from "insiders" is promo in October. The problem is that Jordan has been trying to stop these insiders and going out of his way to label certain ones that have already been correct as BS, which is giving me the weird feeling that they're not all lying. This era reminds me very much of the early "Circus" era. I kind of wonder if Team Britney is leaking details to build hype and then having Jordan publically deny these true details so we don't spread them around everywhere.
Britney will probably minorly promote next year, seeing as she needs a way to get people to come to Vegas to see her. I could see another BBMA performance (though I won't say I'm excited for that yet) and some minor appearances here and there. An AMAs performance gives her an entire month to finish everything and the Vegas move, which is more than enough time seeing as she also has from now (granted she's been rehearsing for months already) till October before she's actually promoting.

What about Beyonce? I know she hasn't confirmed anything but there's been rumors of a fourth quarter release for months now, and I've heard that she shot a video recently. She usually has decent album sales so she could be a threat.
