This is true, I feel like a certain stanbase is in the "negotiation" phase of the five stages of grief, where they have accepted that their fave will underperform this era but still hold onto the idea that her competitor will underperform too despite all evidence to the contrary (her single is slaying iTunes like a lion hunts a zebra).

I joined at the end of the BTW era back in 2011...and ever since then I've seen Monsters drag every artist to the pits...Rihanna, Kesha, Beyonce, Miley, Madonna, Katy Perry, Britney (even harmless Adele...love ya JL)...I've sat back and watched them laugh at the minute of a flop or underperformance, etc...and then brag about how Global and unstoppable and almighty Gaga is
Well now the tables have turned and every base they attacked are having that much awaited chance to have payback
I say it's fair game because it proves that no one is invincible and as almighty as they tried so hard to portray...many still respect Gaga for the artist she is
