There's a huge campaign to take the single to #1. There's no guarantee that we can, but if Britney pulls "Hold It Against Me" numbers (which would still be a decline since its a fourth quarter release instead of first quarter), we could easily debut at #1, if she doesn't debut in advance. Katy won't be half as strong as "Blurred Lines" was when it blocked her. "Blurred Lines" is setting radio records at the moment.
And the lead single should be able to easily go #1 on pop, competition-wise. Katy's second single will be out some time in October, so we can expect "Roar" to be falling by then.
If Britney really promotes, she could get a 4 million seller. So it's not super likely.
