There are literally 4 good new members. The rest are unbearable and think they run the site now.

Anyway, it's somewhat understandable that SYG was closed. I just think mods shouldn't keep trying to impose new rules and moderating it so heavily.
The reason the speed of SYG increased was, generally, the server was finally fixed and they could post in SYG without getting relentless OC messages. And because the server was fixed, new members joined, and they added to the SYG speed, but most of them didn't know how to properly use it. And among that, bringhimdowndown and lilMonsterKayla were probably the worst two members aside from the massive racism last night.

I know it will be hard to do this, but if moderators would just leave SYG alone (Which, as Craig has said, will never happen) and only disallowed personal attacks, people wouldn't have things to complain about. If you would leave SYG alone, pretty much everyone would be happy. The place is meant to be brutal and mean. If people can't handle it, they shouldn't go in there. Threadban anyone who makes personal attacks. Warn the people who complain about things in SYG in HQ (Other than personal attacks, that is). Things would be so easy.

But whatever. Y'all can make your decisions and we'll go with it.

I'm a system administrator for a living (albeit for a corporate not a public forum), usually what I'll do is apply a 'group manager' system- where certain people will watch over specific areas. Greater accountability on the mod to fulfil the duty of ensuring that certain place is properly watched. Having 1/2 SYG-dedicated mods with different permission/access levels to your normal mods (something like what you have with the Senior Member/ATRL Contributor right now) would be my suggestion.

We've had Tiers for moderators previously, and we've loosely discussed this system (but mainly for when we port).

The problem is we only need, more or less, more people to delegate menial and smaller tasks to, like only handling reports. We're uncomfortable with giving them the full access to the kingdom.

Its pathetic if you need to try and "drag" someone (even a celebrity) for the way they look, their race, etc.
People making fun of Britney for the incident about her locking herself up in the bathroom, People making fun of whitney and her daughter, Rihanna getting attacked about being physically abused by Chris, Beyonce and her miscarriage.

I dont see any of that as dragging or shade. You should be able to drag or shade on the persons TALENT and CAREER, I actually find it quite disgusting that some people think mental illness, physical abuse, miscarriages and suicide/drug problems are a matter to make fun of someone. Thats f***** pathetic.

I think what she means by spam is that there are just countless pages here that are repeating the same things over and over. The mods are aware, and most of us should stop bitching about it because they know, and we most likely won't be able to influence their decisions on what to do with SYG.
