In fact, all 6 of the songs she has on iTunes are all in the Top 800. I was afraid that she would just be a massive one hit wonder with "Royals", but now that I see that the public is here for her as an overall artist, I'm even more confident she's gonna start taking over once her album comes up
Neither "Roar" nor "Applause" does anything for me two weeks later. "Roar" is way friendlier to the ears, so am not surprised by its strong performance. Not surprised at the performance of "Applause" either...
And good for Lorde. "Royals" will be a huge fall/winter hit.
Lorde wont go #1 on the Hot100. Wake Me Up will have massive airplay (Pop/HAC/AC/Rhythmic/Alt/AAA) and Roar too (it's a KP song ) and both will likely have great streaming (especially WMU).
It's just the typical pop song but just cause it's an "underrated" girl that nobody knows about everybody jumps in. If it was a male singer everybody would be pressed about it.
