Yes, he looked bigger than Gaga that's for sure.
I have no idea who/what he is but I saw him struggling to blow air out of his measly, worn-out lungs during Gaga's American Idol performance & immediately knew the death was coming.

You don't have to be a photography expert to know that it's lighting, though.
In the first two photos, the camera flash is either in her face or
taken from a distance and then the photo is zoomed in.
In the last photo, her album cover for "Dangerously in Love" was shot inside a studio,
while her cover for "4" was shot in the bright sunlight. There still has yet to
be a legitimate post of Beyoncé having lighter skin vs. darker skin.
Everyone hates the "lighting" excuse, but it's the actual
legitimate reason. Let us all accept it and move on, shall we?
