It's clear this person only knows the singles. They can write an article saying that pop artists should grow up more in the songs that they choose to release as singles and on the radio. But I don't think it's fair to speak about their music in generalities and claim they're nothing more than emotionless, polished, sing-alongs.
Preach! If you know singles only, at least say "the songs I have heard" and not "her music". Also, I don't know how you can be so fixated on singles unless you never bought an album before. Surely everybody's had that experience of buying an album and it being completely different to what you expected from the singles, whether better or worse?
