Yes she did in 1995 but she never made it into a big spectacle kind of thing.

First time she was bankrupt was when she never received a check for her record sales/other various things. There was something in her contract where everything they spent on her came out of her total earnings (dresses, hotels, food, etc.) - what they call the "slave contract". But she never over-spent on luxury things. And when she received her check (less than $2,000) she had to end up going bankrupt because she couldn't pay her bills.

Second time was when she had some illness - however, she did win her case and got all of her real earnings. She was performing and she collapsed on stage or something of that nature - she had to repay all of that and of course, she couldn't, so she went bankrupt.

Yes and no. She bought a lot of things on credit assuming that she would get paid but with the contract she signed she got next to nothing. Its the labels fault for the first time. IDK about the other bankruptcies.
