Rodney "Darkchild" Jerkins talked about working with Britney and how music has to reflect where an artist is in their life.
He's the guy who wrote "He About to Lose Me" before Britney broke up with Jason.
Lol who cares about "inside out" it would've still flopped hard everywhere.
The only lame options left on the album with basic "I wanna go" sized hit potential were " up n down" and "(drop dead) Beautiful" , which are both terrible.
Looking at it now, the only song that could've given Britney both a crítically acclaimed and unexpected moderate success and appropiate as a 4th refreshing single was "How I roll"
Totally agree about 'How I Roll'. It is the best song in the album, after all.

Inside Out would've been miles bigger than Criminal, both worldwide and in the US.
It definitely would've reached the top 10 at Pop and top 20 on the hot 100.
I love IO and it is far superion than Criminal on everything but I'm not so sure about all that "success". Like I said before, the album/era was dead. They only released another single because I Wanna Basic somehow became a hit.

It is, it recieved a lot of praise from many publications.
Personally speaking, the general public liked How I Roll the most.
It's also the most listened to non-single on Youtube.
Would have smashed tbh.
