I don't understand. If she has 4 singles and each of them obtain top 10 status then why not release another? Singles are there to really push an album. Quick little singles burn out fast, TD did not have one quick single.

Criminal really ruined the momentum. Britney never had three consecutive top 10 singles. Honestly if she had released another song there might have been a top 20 or bigger hit.

It wouldn't, there was no promo for the 4th single other than her answering MTV when asked which song she was going to release next.
The fact that they didn't even bother to release a "clean" version of the video proved they just didn't care anymore.
