Katy's iTunes performance is just simply amazing so far. It really is jawdropping to watch. I thought for sure it'd be #2 right now and having to wait to gain until airplay rises, but she's become such a tremendous force. Her star power and megastar status is beyond belief right now. What an exciting time to be a stan.

It'll definitely be longer than that, with the VMA performance and video coming in a few weeks it should get a good boost and increase its lead.

I think it'll stay at #1 until Britney releases, or Katy herself might dethrone it since she's releasing a promo single on the same day.
