Whom ever made that post is a loser and most likely so are they're favs. Out of all of the performers of this generation, I have the most respect for Rihanna for a reason. She does not write most of her music, and where she is credited, I'm fairly sure she only had so little involvement. My respect is for her abilities as a performer, her class, and her ability to interpret the songwriting of other people as her own, and that in itself is a difficult task to accomplish. Whintey did not write IWALY, one of my few favourite songs, but it obviously resonates close to her and it really shows through with how well she interprets the music. People who say things like that are looking at what Rihanna does very one-dimensionally. She picks the sounds she wants, the writers she wants to work with, the producers she wants to work with, and at the end of the day she's been executive producer for almost all her albums which means she has a lot to do with what goes on there. She has co-written songs (imo songs she's co-written on like Fire Bomb and Love Without Tragedy are some of her best). If it was as easy as sitting back and letting people do your whole album for you there would be A LOT more girls out here with hits and longevity.

This is random but i was reading some of the comments in the "Who will leave the biggest artistic impact on the GP?" thread and all i could do is smh. I still don't understand why people claim Rihanna has no talent Thats such a subjective term and varies upon personal opinion. Talent can be natural born or a trained skill over time. There is no set definition that says if a person cannot do the following he/she is untalented.
- Furthermore if Rihanna was so untalented why is she still a force 8 years into her career. The same producers and songwriters Rih works with are readily available for other artists in the industry. Why aren't these other artists having the same amount of success as her or better?

The people that claim Rihanna has no talent have done no research and have no idea what Rihanna actually does. Involvement in an album goes beyond writing and producing. She is the executive producer, meaning she dictates the direction, messages, writers, producers. Also, she is the creative director of her albums meaning she chooses the imagery and themes. Her albums, videos, songs, imagery, etc are all reflections of her current personal state. I hate simple minded bothered stans who talk out of their ass.

That's because people fail to admit that Rihanna can deliver any kind of vocals. Alright yeah, she's had her share of bad performances and she could work on dancing/singing at the same time, but when she really tries she can deliver some great vocal performances and there's proof of that on more than one occasion. People would rather ignore facts though and cling to the same, repetitive rhetoric about how she has no talent because it's better than admitting she HAS talent and the GP actually cares about her and that's why she's almost 10 years into the game and still rolling.

Most of the time, they are just trolls who want to annoy the Navy but some people are so blinded by their hatred that they really start to hear bad vocals even when she's singing flawlessly and many stuff like that. It's really sad actually.
