It's not that I don't like the girl. That's just the type of person I am and I honestly think it also has something to do with the fact that I'm a senior and about to graduate. The last thing on my mind is making friends. I did that my freshman year. I have associates, but my best friends will always be my friends from high school and my family (my mom's side and my brothers and sisters). I'm very limited on who I call friends and I'm not interested in making new ones at this point in my life. I'm always open to meeting new people, but pursuing a long-lasting relationship is not a priority to me. I'm in my room a lot. I have a very limited social life right now because my GPA honestly isn't where it needs to be and that's my focus. If it means being cooped in my room a whole semester with my face in a book then so be it, but I have to get my GPA up before I graduate. Call me lame (which my sorors have been doing) or whatever else, but hey.
... I don't know what to make of the relationship between me and my roommate. Like we don't talk... AT ALL. Basically she goes her separate way and I go mine. I've been here since Sunday and haven't said a damn thing to her. Some of my family and friends seem to think that's weird and I should try communicating with her more, but the truth of the matter is that I genuinely just don't have an interest in being all chitty-chatty with her. I have my friends and she has hers. She's like 21, I'm 25. I'm about to graduate and my main focus is school right now... It doesn't seem that way with her. I'm a Delta and I'm pretty sure she has interest in being an AKA and I normally clash with those anyway. We have an understanding when it comes to our living space.That's all that should matter right? We don't have to be all buddy-buddy just because we were forced to be roommates, right?
