I don't know if anyone else has commented on this yet, but why did Glassheart never get released in the United States? Did she ever plan on releasing it there? Honestly, I loved the album and I think it deserved an international release, which was one of the reasons why it was a bit of a flop.

A blogger who gave us information before Glassheart was released and claimed to have a source at her American label, and he was also the person who leaked Lovebird said this in a post last week,

The record follows her slow-selling Glassheart album, which peaked at #3 on the UK Albums Chart and has yet to be released in the US. That’s right, plans to issue the latter in the US have been halted indefinitely or in other words, it flopped in the UK so why bother wasting time and money promoting it in the far more competitive international market?

To me that sounds like he was told that by someone, but they should have still went a head with it, it clearly had a few potential hit singles that could have been released in America, they didn't have to release the wrong singles like Syco did.

Seriously, the people at both of her labels are complete amateurs. 'Glassheart' and 'Shake You Up' would've smashed as a Pop hit worldwide if it was given a chance and 'Trouble' (CG version) would've done well on AC/Urban rado in the US. The only reason 'Trouble' didn't do well in the UK was because of radio politics here. Capital and other commercial radio stations (except Kiss) are all sheep stations and bandwagon jumpers. Even though it was playlisted on radio 1, it was hardly played considering. I don't think there are any researchers at her labels otherwise they would know that a lack of UK success doesn't necessarily mean a lack of ww success. Look at Cher Lloyd for example, it was her #22 uk "hit" that became a top 20 multi-platinum hit in the US and relatively big in other countries. Leona deserves so much better. Poor queen.

Simon runs her what ever he says she does, and rightly so. He told her to record Bleeding Love. She is relesing a Xmas album and Xmas albums are always a good seller.

Didn't he want Better In Time as the lead single before BL came along though?? Xmas albums are big sellers for artists who have recently enjoyed success with standard studio albums. We'll see though - an XF performance should do enough to get it selling decently.

Simon may not be the direct problem but considering he is her ultimate boss, he isn't blame-free with the terrible handling of LeLe's career post-Happy. Leona would suit being on a Universal label far more. Something like Def Jam.

I completely agree, its such a shame she has such poor labels and she does have the material to be a big star. I hate that her US label seem to have no interest in her now, hopefully they will attempt to promote the Christmas album in the US, but I don't think they will.

I would love if the Christmas album is a success in the UK they release another single in the UK early next year, like February time, like Shake You Up, Unlove Me, maybe Sugar, Come Alive or Glassheart, though I don't know if the whole dub-step thing is still doing that well, thats why I listed the first two first.

I'm still pissed that we're not getting a GH Tour DVD! It was so much better than the Labyrinth in my opinion (Maybe because I was so close to her due to the smaller venues!) Think of the epic DVD quality gifs we're missing out on

That tour was so cheap, they had the Queen siting on a plastic chair and wearing a toilet rag on her shoulder.

Did you attend? I loved it when I was there despite thinking it looked cheap on YT. It was so intimate and her vocals got to shine. The Labyrinth was too much at times and restrictive vocally due to all the choreography and movement. Also I had pretty bad seats at the Labyrinth and she looked like a dot running around in an evening dress most of the time (The venues were HUGE). I went to the first UK date of the GH Tour and will never forget the excitement when she walked out in her red dress like 5 metres away from me .

I've learned never to expect ANYTHING from Syco, they miss every opportunity . They wouldn't know a good career move if it hit them in the face.
