I love that Pink manages to be subversive and a little punk rock in the context of the pop form. She continues to be successful because she's a strong writer, she has been honest with her fans through good time and bad, and she brings an artistic conviction not a lot of other pop stars can match. She's brave in a way that isn't shtick or manufactured controversy. It was brave to perform that dance routine for Try - brave and beautiful. It was brave to spin suspended 50 feet in the air above the grammys - and it was completely awesome that she dripped water all over the suits below.
Any way. I could go on. I just think she keeps it a little realer than most in a world and age that needs more real.
