I mean, just last year The LORD put out "Safe & Sound," which was a bigger hit than Poo La La.
It's not a damn excuse.
That TayLORD song is a rare example of a soundtrack song doing well in the digital era. Havinga soundtrack single is hardly profitable nowadays
Pay Oh La flopped because
a) it's bland, uninteresting, and it doesn't bring anything new to the table
b) there was no (frontloaded) hype surrounding its release (because it was a spundtrack single and the early leak)
c) lack of fan support
Safe and Sound wasn't catchy or radio friendly at all while Britney worked with pop's biggest producer.
It appeals to way more people than OLL which is targeted towards 8 year olds and is so bad that half of her fanbase didn't even buy it, not to mention it leaked one month before it was even released.
Regardless the point is that despite S&S bombing worldwide she was still able to send WANEGBT to #1 in over 30 countries, Britney will do the same with her next single and you KNOW that as well.
