i just don't understand
when base was first started, it was described as being a place where people of a certain fanbase could chat/discuss since the album threads were being used for that and those were needed for album information
i thought that was total bs but i was fine with the switch after a bit of time because the bases proved to be a cool idea
but now we can only talk about the artist in the base - and it's hard to do that when nicki is on hiatus
if we were only to discuss her then the thread would get closed due to a lack of posts, something we'd try to avoid with pointless bumping which we could get warned for anyway
i feel like bases should be a place to let people of a particular fanbase hang out
it worked well doing that with all the new members today
it's like a sorority or a club, a place to talk to people you have something fundamental in common with and to help usher in new members that may not know how to become part of the site
but instead it's now a place to target members of certain bases and the potential usefulness of the base is completely put to waste
but i suppose if y'all really think a bunch of stans chatting in a group setting is that harmful to atrl's "golden" reputation, what can one do?
