I'm guessing she would still decline until 5th or 6th album but still be one of the "it" girls and then bounce back up and down from then. Her tours would also gross a lot, considering how much it has changed from back then.

How was she having a decline beforehand? "Toxic" had become her first top 10 in 4 years + "Everytime" was a moderately big hit, and "Outrageous" peaked at #79 based on literally nothing. I believe if it got the video + promo from being the theme to Catwoman, it easily would've been another top 20 for Britney. If anything, her commercial success + her somewhat moderate critical success from that era actually made people believe the whole "next Madonna" thing.

This. The breakdown made her more interesting. Pop radio would have continued to shun her if she had been normal.

The video and promo wouldn't have made a difference. Everything was radio based back then.
