Folk Rock is nice! What I mean with Americana is like Patti Griffin/Ryan Adams/Uncle Tupelo Americana, not the poseurs M&S and Lumineers. Would be awesome!
She's never ever getting back with country. You don't make all the slow and steady moves away from the genre over the course of Her 4 albums just to throw yourself right back into the genre. She's seen what a close-minded, intolerant, conservative mess that genre is and is steering well clear (especially after the mess with the country heads making Emily disappear). She has passion for the music but not for the people who run that messy genre. That's why She will still have country tunes on Her album but won't promote any of them, whilst going on about how "Trouble" and "22" are Her favourite songs She's made.
