I don't know if it would ever work but I'd love Rih to get a relatively (for their standards) stripped back beat from TNGHT (Hudson Mohawke x Lunice) and put some vocals/lyrics over it. Their production style is quite abrasive and full on though so I have a feeling Rih would get flattened by the track.
Oh I also really want Rih to work with Burns! Before Unapologetic when she was supposed to be working with him, I spent so much time listening to Lies and imagining her doing a track like that, and it never happened! I need that this time.

Omg yes! Lies ended up in my top 10 of last year. The original>>that Otto Knows remix they commissioned for radio/release. I still to the day can't put my finger on exactly what it is with Lies that I love so much.

I just love the idea of an understated, midtempo dance song with a dramatic chorus and I think that's what Lies is. For that reason I want her to hook up with BURNS and do something to that effect.
And yes the Otto Knows remix was worse than the original.
I don't want a dance album for Rih. Right now is one of her worst songs. It has no melody, she's just aimlessly shouting and it's terrible. Ester dean shouldn't make the next album either. I hate when her vocals make the final cut, she ruined WAWL and the WHYB chorus.
Pop/R&B infused with a lot of island is what I want the most. Dance is getting kind of stale althought a couple songs won't hurt (if they are new takes on dance, not songs like RN, like I said before an island flavored dance track), just pure Rihanna with vibes from her roots is what I want. What's My Name, Man Down, Watch N Learn, etc.
Do you guys think she's over this album or is just me?
