The lead can do it's job well enough in one month. Besides, when an album comes out, that tends to boost the sales of the lead single, so who knows if the song can re-peak if the album is released one month after the single like the way Suit & Tie peaked at #3 the release week of 20/20 Experience.
It'd be great:
First Week: Frontloaded sales guarantee high debut.
Second Week: Decline in sales, but still a good amount to retain a good position on the Hot 100 + increased airplay and streaming.
Third Week: Video comes out. Boost sales.
Fourth Week: Album is released. Song receives high boost from the album release and peaks on radio at the same time guaranteeing a possible #1 or the single re-peaking.
Like. It's perfect.
