Britney is ahead, she is not affraid of trying new things, and she is underrated in that aspect.
About "Roar" and "Applause", I must say that even if "
Roar" is not innovative at all, its way superior to "Applause" to me, and I think its a bit underrated musically, IMO there's something appealing and interesting with the reference of animals in the lyrics, its like an indie vibe version of her previous album "Teenage dream", the song its simple but effectively pleasant when you hear it on radio during the day while you're in you car.
"
Applause" on the other hand , d*amnn its disastrous, I mean I can perfectly understand why Katy Perry destroyed Lady Gaga's career now.
