Gaga ain't going nowhere, you are all too damn grown to get caught up in the Hot 100, it is literally the LEAST important factor in judging the state of someones career. Lady Gaga just stopped mid tour and outgrossed every single mother****ing bitch to get on a stage before or after her and will continue to do so (except Bijonse, the overall queen). People wanna dickride Katy because she is at the top of iTunes singles chart?

She ain't on Forbes, Pollstar, Metacritic, Billboard 200, Grammy.com, or any other place that matters.
She is basically the Rihanna to Gagas Beyonce, always second place.

Artists have comebacks with later albums, but it's rather rare. So she needs to get it right this era. BTW was already viewed as a disappointment. ARTPOP would just be viewed as the nail in the coffin. Not everybody can be like Mariah and have a major comeback.

So am I wrong for thinking that we could be something for real?
Now am I wrong for trying to reach the things that I can't see?
But that's just how I feel, that's just how I feel
That's just how I feel trying to reach the things that I can't see
Such a flawless song.

I agree, but the public is eating out of Katheryn's ***** in a way that I never expected this year. It's like those ridiculous "California Gurls" era album sales predictions might actually come true this time, since everything seems to be going perfectly for her. Should be a fun few months ahead! I think Gags can recover, and maybe even make Applause a hit, but the hit she's taken on the public radar really shocks me. Where the **** are the monsters who bought a million copies of BTW in 10 days or whatever?!

Pink managed a comeback but oh boy, was that hard.
Poor Legend X has 2 strikes. I think Kesha's done.
Gaga's too big to fail. She'll ride Applause to mid-September and release a smash. She won't do gangbusters but it will sell well WW and she'll keep her touring force.

The funny thing is all he really needs is his piano in order to entertain. Such minimalism would probably endear him to the public more than the rehashed dance beats & his usual bag of tricks/gimmicks.

Singles are the foundation of every artist. If you have strong singles then you have a strong foundation. They're how people identify artists, they are what represents their sound. Singles are what artists are remembered for.
It's why someone like Pepcé who has no strong singles is more known as a socialite than as a recording artist. The GP look at her and know she is very famous but it's like, is she an actress? Is she a model? What does she do? She's a lot like Kim Kardashian in that sense. It's fine for Pepcé, she makes good money, but as a music artist that is not what you set out to accomplish in your career.
Luckily Gaga has already had a few iconic singles so her legacy is secured. The only downside is they are dance pop singles and they tend to be forgotten and disrespected over time.

are you surprised tho? this has become Stand Your Ground Against Gaga since 2011, even if the single was #1 they would say that it's front loaded and that she's been hyping it to death. they ignore he fact that the song and the album are both #1 in over 40 countries because they want to believe that she is flopping or that she is fading even when the song has been out for only 2 days.

lol. Gaga won't be high on Forbes, Pollstar or the Billboard 200 for much longer either. She went Grammyless for the last era, too.
The public is over that clown. Cyndi Lauper 2.0.
