Katy Perry is number one in Mexico and Canada too. Those two countries have lots of Little Monsters as well. But as of right now, this very second, Katy Perry is the queen of North America. Mexico, the US and Canada, she owns them. And I love that.

Born This Way had the momentum of a successful era preceding it.
Applause followed an era of two disastrous flops, two middling hits, and only one big hit that didn't last long at all.
Katy's doing amazingly on her own hustle, but Gaga's got to build hers back up from the bottom all over again. Aside from the fan-fueled first week, she has to regain her radio support. And that's going to be extremely difficult for her to do, as it would be for any artist.
