All I'll say is that she's gone with a two year absence from radio and music in general.
But Gaga is not forgotten at all, she does not have to reintroduce herself. Even if she went into media hideout, she (her voice) is instantly recognizable.
I completely agree. Gaga makes it so hard to stan for her tbh. Part of me thinks she's really drank her own Kool-aid at this point. Yea Applause is a nice song (it finally grew on me), but the reality is that there virtually has to be better, and slightly more friendly songs on the album (Aura anyone?).
Yet instead of releasing the guaranteed smash that she needs so badly, she releases this. I don't know what the logic is, and tbh I really don't think there is any. I'm just hoping that it all works out for her.
Coming from someone that absolutely hated the song at first, I'm at least glad that it is indeed a grower. Hopefully it remains in the top 10 till the public can grasp it better.

Worst meaning it wasn't as big as The Fame Monster, not saying it was underperforming. If Gaga is supposedly the bigger star who's last era was supposedly bigger than Katy's (according to them), she should be easily outdoing her. Things may change in the future, but there is a lot of backtracking going on around here.
Katy is doing better than Gaga right now. That can't be disputed.
Is Gaga underperforming? Not really considering that Gaga isn't known as a singles artist.
I mean Telephone was released at the height of her popularity and it still failed to go #1 on iTunes & on HOT 100. Bad Romance did well on iTunes but didn't go #1 on the HOT 100 either. As long as she sells well and consistently then she is doing good imo.

She (arguably) outdid her worldwide. I never heard anyone (besides trolls) claiming BTW era was bigger than TD locally.
Ok I get it, I'm new to this thread so it took me a while. For that, forgive me. You see, I wasn't under the impression that one person speaks for all in a fanbase, or that a few in a fandbase speak for it's entire breadth. But now I know better...

it's funny because gaga is doing GREAT, but yesterday mosters were saying that applause was stealing roar's attention and now she can't even get 70% of roar sales
I haven't been following charts much lately, can Gaga debut in the top3 of the Hot 100 next week or there's more other than Katy and Robin?
Nope. With Katy and Gaga's massive sales they're definitely going to get into the Top 3. Miley's sales are declining and her airplay is... All she had going for her was streaming.
Of course, there's always an outside chance of Luke Bryan knocking her off.
I am pretty sure the pre order is impacting the sales somehow. Does anyone know for sure how pre orders work on iTunes in relation to if the download of the song counts if it was downloaded because of the pre order?
I was sure Gaga had more hype, selling power, and was more global!
