I believe she planned to release 6 teasers before ROAR right? After it leaked, is she still releasing the remaining two teasers? Or the leaked could possibly the 5th?

There were 6 registered "ROAR_" links and so far only 4 have been used. Insiders said there is less than 6 though and given that the last one had a teaser at the end I'm guessing it was always planned to be the last one. ROAR5 might be a link to the Official Audio and ROAR6 to the lyric video, or something?
I love it but I have noticed it is extremely similar to 'Brave' by Sara Bareilles. Same beat, similar use of voice, same thematic... it feels like the same song sometimes. Didn't she notice? Critics should talk about it.

Not a big Katy Perry fan at all, minus a few singles and album songs. But this song is amazing in my honest opinion. The production isn't overly produced, her vocals match the song perfectly, the lyrics are very simple yet easy to feel and get behind. I see this being a big hit for her. It's very uplifting indeed. Good job Katy.
Mostly positive reviews but a few are mixed. (Added RS, EW, and HL)

“Roar” has arrived, and it’s just as upliftingly poppy as her previous megahit “Firework.” The song’s clear jock-jam aspirations — sample lyrics: “I got the eye of the tiger, the fire/Dancing through the fire, ’cause I am a champion/And you’re gonna hear me roar” — will likely make the song a fall-football staple (the Bengals should just send her a check now).

Whoever leaked the track of "Roar" early is sure to be in a lot of trouble for it, but we can't thank them enough -- it sounds amazing!
The anthem is full-on girl-power, with Perry singing about finding her voice and her strength to stand for what she believes in. We're loving this empowered version of Perry, and can't wait to hear the rest of the album when it officially drops.

With its easy poppy beat and repeated refrains of "You held me down but I got up," and "You're gonna hear me roar," the lead single strikes a determined note for the new album.

Having already teased the single about fifty million times, we'd guessed it was going to be a change from Teenage Dream, but the track is a pretty fierce one, with a massive swooping chorus that we guarantee is probably going to be stuck in your head for the next three months. Just a warning.

The song is the first to surface of Prism, and just as critics and fans had hoped showcases a new, evolved sound for the girl once known for kissing other girls. Much like Miley’s “We Can’t Stop,” the track strips away the Guetta-influenced wall of sound that has dominated pop in recent years and takes a much simpler, albeit more powerful approach. It’s not as much about creating a dance track from beginning to end, though your toes will be tapping in no time, but rather creating a fitting musical accompaniment to drive home the inspiration lyrics. Perry wants you to want to scream the chorus from the top of your lungs, and thanks to brilliant production she accomplishes that long before the larger-than-life final refrain kicks in.

The track itself is typically Katy Perry, and while it isn’t as hard-hitting as some of her material from her debut album One Of The Boys, there is a definite move away from her Teenage Dream era style of music.
Roar is a punchy, uplifting pop track that sees Katy sing about breaking out of her shell and taking on the world.

The good news is that, musically, it sounds like no previous Perry single before (though thematically, it has the same uplifting spirit at "Firework"). It’s a statement song, and a smart one since it’s the first tune we’ve really heard from her since her split from Russell Brand. She’s letting us know in the mid-tempo pulser that she’s not just fine, she’s gone “from zero to my own hero.” Like Survivor, she even has “the eye of the tiger,” at her disposal. Heck, she has a whole menagerie, from a bee to butterfly. Dr. Luke produced the track, written by Perry, Dr. Luke and Bonnie McKee.

The song is classic Katy (in a good way), an all-out pop song that sweeps you up in the emotions and takes you for an uplifting ride. It’s a clear descendent of “Teenage Dream” and “Firework.”
This one is definitely going to have everyone singing along for a very long time.

You will barely be through one listen and Perry’s voice and the backbeat will be lodged in your brain for the next few hours.Overall, it’s Katy Perry through and through. She is pop music’s champion — hear her ‘ROAR’ on what should be her next No. 1. (Gave it 4.5/5)

This sweeping anthem is like "Firework" with more bite and it has "Future Karaoke Standard" written all over it. So, yes, you will be screaming this into your hairbrush.

While it may not be as dark and somber as some fans were expecting (based on the star's promo video where she burned the said blue wig), it does recall her highly successful singles "Part Of Me" and "Wide Awake" with its empowering lyrics, though it may not be quite as catchy or powerful.

With the early leak of “Roar,” the first single from the new album, we’ve got an answer: She’s still making radio-friendly pop, but the candy-colored frills have been stripped out for a bigger, more anthemic feel—it’s bubblegum filtered through the Mumford and Lumineers gang’s folk-rock stomp. We’re also hearing some Rusted Root in the way Katy bends her vowels towards the sky, which is not a bad thing at all

Overall, the charm of “Roar” lies more in the radio-ready track’s ability to bring a smile to the face of anyone within earshot and less on the fact that Perry has made any kind of artistic evolution at this stage in her career. That said, the latter is a tricky one to pull off and still maintain commercial viability, so, in the end, Katy is no doubt right in the position she wants to be in.

The first single off Perry’s forthcoming Prism, “Roar” has an anthemic pop sensibility more in line with Florence and the Machine than Britney or Rihanna. Its lyrics have a fighter mentality, with Perry belting about coming back stronger than ever after some emotional stuff (like a divorce perhaps?).

Sure, "Roar" seems a little sped-up and she's singing in a different register, but it's kind of boring. And typical Katy Perry.

She ditches the electro-pop sound of her "Teenage Dream" in favor of some simpler production on this single. Booming beats and tinkling synths back Perry as she confidently declares, "I am a champion and you're gonna hear me roar." She sings the heck out of the track's uplifting chorus, channeling an Adele-like rawness. "Roar" is such a major title to live up to but Katy pulls it off with her fierce spirit that shines through.

I do think it’s perfect choice (a Dr.Luke & Bonnie McKee collaboration) for the lead single off Katy’s upcoming album Prism. However great Prism might turn out to be, there’s simply no way Katy can top her previous effort, Teenage Dream, which is seriously one of the most perfectly crafted pop albums ever!

Roar is her most grown-up song yet, the lyrics painting the tale of a determined woman eager to learn from her mistakes.
Many more will come on Monday and hopefully they continue to remain on the positive side.
Katy just said, "WORLDWIDE (UK comes sooner than you think... but you can preorder NOW)" about the iTunes release of Roar. Am I just really tired or does that not make ANY sense?
