With all the alternative sounding pop songs smashing lately I can't see Roar selling anything less than 3M

I'm quite underwhelmed by Roar, but I'm sure it'll grow on me, as have other Katy tracks. I remember despising California Gurls because it sounded too much like TiK ToK, but I grew to love it like 7 months later.

The song is OK. It'll go #1 and I'm sure it will block Applause... BUT it really sounds like song from TD I wanted her to make something new and fresh sounding. Well, I guess we'll get that TD 2.0 in the end. Where is promised DARK era?

For the 3405740875th time, the "f*cking dark" comment was a joke.

And personally, I don't even think it sounds like something from TD maybe it's not totally different, but she's not going to go all out and release a lead single which radios aren't going to play. Plus, it's her best lead single so if this is her CG of Prism then the album is going to be amazing.

Honestly i think that "it sounds like another TD reject" song is all in your head. ROAR is not even remotely similar to any teenage dream songs...are you sure you have the real song?

and like the other user said, the F*ckin dark era was not suppose to be taken literally...it's a joke/sarcasm

It'll be something small like a synth kicking in late or a drum kick in the bridge.
IDK, thats just an example, it could also be something that can only be heard when the song is pitched etc.
