I don't know, it sounds good but really 1st single? I guess I was expecting something way better. Here's to Never Growing Up is soooooo much better but I guess Roar will be SMASH hit, and we all know what happened to Avril.
I can talk about the first single, the rock-electronic infused “Roar,” since it will be released Monday. It is certainly is a great and powerful song about self reliance and self empowerment, but I found other songs on the album more deserving to be a single. However, “Roar” is a safer choice since it doesn’t steer far away from Kerry’s past hits.
Also , I listen only one time... Because the premier for me is Monday 00:00 am in real iTunes quality , i love the song so much and it's hard to keep me away from the hype and this forum :,(
Exclusive: Katy Perry’s ‘Prism’ Is a Pop Music Masterpiece
This afternoon, I was invited to a small listening session of Katy Perry’s new album “Prism” in North Hollywood, CA (Thanks, Todd!) and I heard ten songs (the final version may contain 13 or 14). I am not allowed to give a full review, or even close to one, so I hope this article stays up.
I have always respected Katy Perry as a person and — for the most part — as an artist. She never touched me in the way Madonna, Alanis Morisette, Bjork or even Prince has. Needless to say, that has all changed with “Prism.” It is an epic album that not only redefines pop music, but will turn Katy Perry from a superstar into a history-making megastar. Madonna will always be the Queen of Pop, but Katy Perry will definitely be making a similar impact that Madonna did with “Like a Prayer” and “Ray of Light.”
The reason that Katy Perry succeeds where other wannabe pop queens fail is because she is not trying to be another Madonna. She is using Madonna’s influence to create her own path. Some may find similarities between some of the songs on Katy’s album and Madonna’s masterpiece “Ray of Light.” But I found the album to be more in line with Alanis Morisette’s “Jagged Little Pill,” the best album of the 1990s.
I am not allowed to mention any of the songs by name. My favorite song is one in which Perry looks back at a relationship and blames herself for the ultimate demise. It starts off slow and builds to an emotional climax. A lot of the songs are about love and Katy refuses to play the roll of the victim.

There is a reason why a cocaine addict named Lady Gaga has been releasing ****ographic videos, faking hip injuries to cover up for bad ticket sales, and sitting still while her fans tweet cruel messages to Katy Perry. Gaga’s album has, so far, generated negative buzz. ARTPOP was supposed to be the big album of the season. Needless to say, “Prism” will jump all over it. It’s safe to say that the album will see Perry become a Grammy goddess as well.
I agree it will probably be a great album no doubt but I swear that they told him to say that last bit about Gaga. We'll let you listen to the album and make a small blog post but you can't name song titles and you have to drag Gaga and ARTPOP.

I wanted song titles from Prism, I think the album will be fantastic, I am excited in him saying that there are more worthy single choices, and him admitting that Roar isn't the best song or single, makes me excited even more.
Two amazing albums are coming this year from two of the most successful pop artists out there, Katy and Gaga will slay!
