I hate when people insist on simple assumptions because they're too simple or ignorant to do the basic research to at least have an informed opinion. True performance art forces people to think outside the dimensions of basic emotion and thoughts, and I'm pretty sure 70% of fonts on ATRL are incapable of that.

For those watching Gaga's new video of her performing the Abramovic Method and are confused or disturbed, here's a little explanation so that you aren't completely puzzled.

The Abramovic Method is something Marina came up with as a "cleansing the soul" technique. Marina's work stresses an idea of entering performance after strong mental and physical cleansing. Gaga wants to be on her best A-game for her new album and has obviously been working hard to get into the correct mind-state. This technique is taught to young performance artists seeking to explore the artform.

What Gaga is doing in this video consists of several things which all seek to cleanse her of spoken word, visual sigh, tactical sensation and other 'worldly influences' that can bar our connection to the natural world, where art can thrive. The crystals she lays in at the end are believed to radiate a certain energy that Marina believes interacts with our Biochemistry and helps stablize our mental states as well as induce a natural state of calm.

Also, the fact that Gaga is doing this WITH Marina, means that Marina has single-handedly and personally been teaching and mentoring Gaga through the preliminarily stages to become a better performance artist.

This isn't some 'weird video', it's a peak into her incredible strengths to train. Gaga is going to take the stage in a totally different mindset and this tells us that she's been preparing like never before.
