I had no idea there was a teaser coming today. All I saw was this constant ATRL overcapacity window and I literally had a stroke. I thought the single leaked.
That "fake" press release which said the single was coming for a "surprise" August 9th release to Radio followed by a release to iTunes the next week is starting to seem VERY real...

Why not? It's impossible for her to get a #1 debut so she might as well get the weekend to build up radio hype before the release. she can't release the song at Midnight worldwide on Monday as there's no 1 Midnight for Earth, if the song is released to Radio on Friday it allows Capitol to release the song as each place turns midnight on their respective charting days.
It really sounds like an anthem though and everything that Dr. Luke said about it being "different, uplifting and still catchy" was totally encapsulated in that 3-second snippet.
