I felt the same way at first but honestly being independent is so much better and makes the extra responsibilities worth it. After I graduated I realized how much it sucked being tied down for 8 hours 5 days a week in school, I have so much more free time now even with a job and everything. Life after high school >>>
It seems scary the first couple months but then you're like "this is so much better!" and feel dumb for being afraid of leaving HS in the first place. Trust me if I knew how it would be like when I was in my senior year, I would've been counting down the days instead of panicking
I also feel empowered when I work hard and succeed though. I guess I'm okay either way.
