It's been a long time since I've seen a label take a 400k-seller and put it on Album Only for any amount of time; it makes little sense for them to do this because whatever sales it gains for the album are not going to yield the same profits it would have received from selling alone, as strong as it was going. It would need to boost sales at least 10% in albums as it would have sold during this time as a single, and having seen predictions for the album's sales, that's not so likely. It would be better if they're simply trying to get rid of the extra versions and are having problems restoring the track, but still plan to restore it very quickly.

What's difference does it make to you? We all know why you're being a Negative Nancy. It's not because you care about "Blurred Lines" or whether or not it recovers for Robin's sake. You're more worried about "Applause" and getting rid of an obvious threat.

Now how in hell am I being a negative Nancy when I'm clearly laying out facts and using logic to support my position? I'm advocating adding it back to iTunes for sales because that's the smart move. That's actually worse for "Applause". If it were solely for Gaga's sake I'd want it kept Album Only indefinitely. I honestly don't get where you're coming from.

I haven't discussed my personal opinions on the song itself though.

I always talk about it because it's the clear threat to Gaga, but I also always express confidence that she can top it anyway. I'm not concerned with it blocking her, because I don't think it will happen. I admittedly kind of like the song and I'm not bothered by its success at all - that's why I'd support the smart move of adding it back for singles sales.

On a side note, thanks for confirming to me that I rally do need to change my name back - everyone still addresses me as Retro.

Not sure, but they were heavily frontloaded. I think BL went back to #1 Thursday or Friday of last week. They did really well in streaming and had decent first week airplay.

Blurred Lines had a 30% lead in points over 1D. The didn't have much airplay, Gaga will definitely get past him with a radio deal and the video streams.
