I think after the accolades their record label got for Blurred Lines breaking the airplay record, they would be quite interested in the Hot 100 record. Besides, they can still promote Gaga (mostly her album sales) without hurting Robin's insane digital performance.

If anything though, if Gaga does hit #1, it will only be for one week, so it will be Blurred Lines' "Inside Your Heaven" and then it will continue to slay the charts like WBT did.

Edited to add: Of course, there's still that outside chance of Applause netting a first-week sales of close to a million, but tbh I don't think people are here for her as much as they were during BTW.

I understand that. But he barely sold 300K this week, with a decent sized drop. & next week will be the huge jump. Not three-four weeks from now when his sales are descending. Regardless it will an interesting month. So many contributing factors

That's incredible, and radioactive's sales are just mindblowing. Listening to is last summer, I would never have guessed that it would be one of the biggest hits in 2013

Gaga will easily break 500k if the song is good and even shatter Flo Rida's record with Right Round (636k). I can see her doing pretty well. I mean last time she sold over 400k with only 3 days of sales, this time around she has 6.

The 19th is too soon I think. Should've waited until September tbh. Blurred Lines will block her front-loaded debut week, and Roar (seriously? ) will block her because it will outpace her chart progress.

Missing a #1 on the Hot 100 isn't a big deal tho. I mean, Bad Romance remains iconic.

Even if he doesn't perform, or doesn't win the VOTY, the song will still get VMA exposure because of its nominations. I'm pretty sure he'll win at least one moon-man tho.
