Death Note is fantastic. It's one of the few shows I actually own.
If you like Death Note, you'd really like Code Geass. The plots themes and character types are extremely similar, and like Death Note, there's a cliffhanger/twist at the end of every episode.
The similarities are jarring. Both shows don't really have a "hero" persay, and both consist of a constant cat-and-mouse kind of chase.
You should get into it.
