There are two strata of pop girls when it comes to first week sales:

Team Slay: Rihanna, Katy, Miley (???), Britney, Beyonce (as of 2009), Gaga (as of 2011) for whom opening with 100k is a complete bomb.

Team Basic: Selena, Demi, Vanessa Hudgens, Carly Rae Jepsen, Ciara for whom opening with 100k is a huge success.
