Also, album sales was and still is the biggest factor in measuring an artist's success.
Maybe you have it backwards. Album and single sales are the most important. Touring and awards are just bonuses. Congrats to Bey for receiving the most bonus.

Sugar, Beyoncé is the most influential, relevant, powerful female artist of the moment. She punches in every industry field.
My question is to know why can't Britney and if she ultimately can catch up. So yeah, what she accomplished during the era where having an internet connection was a luxury is irrelevant.
I compare Britney to B cause they're the exact same generation. As simple as that.

They don't compare those albums because they know that Britney was unstoppable during those eras. Even in 2003 she was more controversial than Beyonce and Beyonce as a new artist in 2003 just outsold Britney by a little over 500-800K copies with 2 #1 singles while Britney just got only 1 top 10 single.

and if we're going with the era as a whole, Britney won 2011. The FF Era was much more profitable than the 4 era.

If we're talking about album sales overall, Britney wins. If we're talking about album sales 2003 and above, Beyonce wins.

If we're talking about eras side by side, Beyonce won the first three while Britney won the last.

DIL sold barely 1m more than ITZ, while Toxic remains more iconic and sold more than CIL.
4 sold around 1m more than FF, yet TTWE was more successful than all of its singles combined.

Not to mention that Britney's BOMT era ALONE is more successful than Beyonce's entire career.

Beyonce is still playing the catch-up game and she has a long road ahead of her. The fact that she's choosing to sign endorsement deals instead of releasing music isn't helping. I can see why the Hive are frustrated enough to make a thread like this
