Dear John I see as the first part of a healing process. Of course she at first blames the other person (almost) solely (She did say maybe It's me and my blind optimism to blame) but than later on matures enough to realize it was partially her fault too with I Knew You Were Trouble. Not to mention that was a pretty toxic/abusive relationship so she really was the victim there.
