Well I think the White Roses rumor started when Gaga tweeted a picture of white roses next to a laptop with keyboard commands for studio work. The Applause could probably be a song title, it's been mentioned a lot and it's almost obvious.

Exactly... I mean half the fan base was POSITIVE about all of the following things having some sort of significance over the last two years:

- Red Lipstick
- Element of Crime
- Private in Public
- White Roses
- some Kingdom of Fame ******** IIRC
etc.

The Applause is definitely a possible title, but she has so many little phrases that she comes up with... it's difficult to tell what is a hint, and what is just her being weird

I'm not even sure half the "lyrics" we have are lyrics at all. Could just be her inane ramblings/general ideas for songs.

She said through the app she would be releasing visuals for every song on ARTPOP. I would imagine that means the songs will be on there.

Like everything we know about the app so far suggests that it will include music.

Even if it is just streaming, it still won't be free. I doubt Interscope and her team would waste such a good opportunity for more revenue.

I suspect the app will be free, but will have in-app purchases (including the album)... using it as a platform to attract more sales.

The Biophilia app was the same price as the album, but it essentially WAS an interactive version of the album. My impression of the ARTPOP app is that it serves as a sort of interface between Gaga, fans, and ARTPOP.
