Bey will be doing 3 shows in New Zealand
Beyoncé Knowles is returning to Auckland. Yay! Or so went the many fans of the actress, famous for her portrayal of Xania in The Pink Panther movie, not forgetting "Lilly" in acclaimed 2003 comedy The Fighting Temptations. A successful recording career has occurred in parallel and now people are excited for her arrival 'pon these shores. A visit that will feature her singing a lot and probably some fireworks.
One date has been announced and that is the 18th October, hopefully a lush, balmy spring Friday. The Mrs Carter Show World Tour, to give the gig its correct name, will land in Auckland that night and then, as we are currently being led to believe, depart.
Or will it?
A video posted on the YouTubes by sponsors Pepsi NZ seemed to suggest Solange's older sister will be jamming in Jafaland for two more nights after that. The video has been hastily replaced now, but there on the seventh second, in block white capital letters, it proudly shouted "18th - 20th OCTOBER".
But, but... Only one date has been officially announced so far. How can this be? Subsequent musical shows are usually only announced off the back of successful initial tickets sales. Just a mistake, then.
Nevermind. Maybe forget you read this.
