She probably made an album and then her people rejected it so she is working on new tracks. There was an article about her label being worried about 4 and asking her to do the same thing because they were psychic thought it wouldn't do well.

However, it did badly imo because radio was odd after the first two singles, which were BIG mistakes. EOT followed by Countdown, then Party, then I Care and Schoolin' Life. RTW made people think she was girl powering again, which welll she was lmao.

Critics loved EOT and Countdown, and were mixed to the first 2 singles.

TBH it annoys me. MJ, Prince, Tina, Whitney et al were known for their talent and their music. They also did endorsements but the music and talent was first. Bey imo has neglected the growth musically. And for me, that's stopping her from the legendary status. She's a very talented celeb to the GP, as opposed to an incredibly talented performer that's also a celeb. She's not being known for her musical output anymore,which I think is sad. But hey, get money.

Speaking of, I haven't liked anything from Beyonce recently. If the songs we've heard are going to be indicative of the entire album, then I don't care when she releases it -- I won't be listening.

I don't see the point in SOTS being used on commercials in the summer if it's not going to get a release. Are they really that cautious about it flopping? Get with the program and times. If a song flops, just call it a promo single like every other label does.

No GW isn't an empowerment song in the general sense. It's her saying she can do what she wants now she's old enough, essentially the idea musically behind 4 put into a song.

As long as the single is hot, Bey is good. TBH the GP probably think that GW and SOTS are her singles, they don't read much into music. She'll go platinum but beyond that who knows. She definitely wants success though.

Her musical growth has definitely grown though. She is in a very defining place in her career. She just needs a better team to help push & promote her music whenever it is released.

Oh yah, Chrisette Michele's album isn't half bad. It was released with no more than a mutter, but luckily I found it (via Spotify). A must listen if you're an R&B fan!

It's a very short album. Only 10 tracks. But yes, it's a solid album.
