"Culo" means ass as in "asshole", not the way people use ass as in "booty".
Before Pitbull was trying to make "Culo" mainstream for "cake", and many of the uneducated US born latino youngins who don't speak a lick in Spanish wanted to look cool and cute and follow suit, it has always been used as your "poop chute". Pit also got RIDICULED for the same reason from the Latino community.
Nalgas, Trasero, Pompis are more well-known words used for booty, cakes, donk. "Culo" is more specifically used for "ASSHOLE" which is why most Latinos find the term vulgar. It's not cute to talk about one's "hole".

It's no biggie for me cause I get the intention as with Pitbull's track, but other Spanish speaking Latinos will just get a good kii.
But then Spanish is my second language and not my first so I can kindaaa enjoy it lol.
