Don't you guys have siblings who buy other consoles than you?
I have a brother and we've both shared consoles and bought our own on which we play sometimes together.
Let me list what we own at the moment, just for the sake of it:
Playstation 1
Playstation 3 (my brother's)
Playstation 4 ( my brother will buy this at launch)
Wii
Wii U (mine)
PSP (my brother's)
Gameboy Color
Gameboy Advance (2x)
Nintendo DS (I gave it to my brother)
Nintendo DS Lite (mine)
Nintendo 3DS XL (well, in a few days )
We share consoles, but I buy them and he buys the games.
As of right now, pre-ordering new titles or catching up on some great games that I've missed over the last few years (Most of the Assassin's Creed franchise, Batman: Arkham Asylum/City, Red Dead Redemption, etc). It's hard.

If you get AC, skip the third. That game is ballsack. I've heard mixed things about Revelations too. The rest is great.
However, I say new games unless they're ******. What games are you preordering?

I love the Arkham games, but, if you're asking me for my opinion on which one of those games you should play...play Red Dead. It's my favorite game of this generation, if I had to pick one.
